After reading the comments on the article you mentioned it does appear to be remotely sincere and genuine. What sounds twisted is the fact the post is on why blogging is for you and the commenter was saying, "I'm glad I was an inspiration." Personally I wouldn't want to be the inspiration for a post on why I shouldn't blog. That just tells me that I don't know what I'm doing and I've wasted my time.
